It is not too late to get a booking for the Easter long weekend. We have limited space available in some of our rooms so don’t miss out! Everyone needs a break, and after a busy first quarter, the long weekend comes as a welcome relief. It is a good opportunity to indulge in some R&R, not to mention some chocolate treats.
Now might be a good time to remind you of Drakensberg Artisan Chocolate by Chocolate Memories. They make some of the finest chocolate in the Central Drakensberg and only a stone’s throw from the Nest Hotel. Enjoy a decadent chocolate fondue at their chocolate tasting bar, located at Berg Air Lifestyle Centre.
Cathedral Peak Wine Estate
Fancy something different? The only wine estate in the beautiful Central Drakensberg invites you for a bit of wine tasting. Open every day of the week (except Tuesdays) from 09h30 – 16h00.
Offering a selection of great tasting wines which can be enjoyed with a cheese platter, the estate is definitely worth a visit! The farm is located in the fertile Winterton Valley, where the first vines were planted back in 2007. Currently with some 25ha of vines, the Wine Estate has the following varieties growing: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc.

Music in the Mountains
A music fest like no other! Music in the Mountains with The Drakensberg Boys Choir is held over four days from 28 April – 1 May 2022. You can also look forward to food stalls offering delicious food, a beer tent and quality arts and craft stalls. Make sure you get your ticket at www.webtickets.co.za
