There is something timeless about a proper country evening in the Drakensberg. Warm hospitality, good food, familiar songs, and the kind of atmosphere that makes strangers feel like friends by the second chorus. On 28 February, The Nest Hotel welcomes a special live show, Kenny and Dolly Country, featuring Paul Spence, Kath McClelland, Adrian Raman, and line dancing led by Jenna. We have also brought Ant Cawthorn-Blazeby into the show since the poster was done.
Paul Spence
Paul brings the steady, story driven heart that country music is known for. Expect confident vocals, a relaxed stage presence, and the kind of delivery that suits both classic favourites and crowd pleasing singalongs.
Kath McClelland
Kath adds the sparkle and warmth that brings a country set to life. Her voice and energy give the evening that unmistakable Dolly style charm, making the show feel fun, personal, and easy to enjoy whether you know every lyric or you are simply there for a great night out.
Adrian Raman
Adrian rounds out the sound with solid musicianship and rhythm that keeps the room moving. Country music works best when it has drive and groove, and Adrian helps create that toe tapping foundation that makes you want to clap along and, before long, get onto the floor.
Ant Cawthorn-Blazeby
The show features what is probably the finest fiddler in South Africa, Ant Cawthorn-Blazeby. Ant brings his world-class musicianship to every genre of show we produce, from our Irish nights to Neil Diamond and ABBA. Guests of The Nest are in for a treat to be sure, with the fine musicianship of Anton and Adrian at the core of the fun and feelgood Kenny and Dolly Country show.
Line dancing with Jenna
No country night is complete without a little line dancing, and Jenna makes it welcoming for everyone. Line dancing is wonderfully social because you do it together, side by side, and you do not need a partner. It is also a surprisingly good full body workout. The repeated step patterns improve coordination, balance, and posture, while the steady movement supports heart health and stamina. Perhaps best of all, it lifts your mood. Music, movement, and shared laughter are a powerful combination, and it suits all ages and fitness levels because you can take it at your own pace.
Make a night of it at The Nest
This is the sort of evening that pairs perfectly with a Drakensberg getaway. Arrive early, enjoy the mountain air and the gardens, settle in, then head into a lively night of music, dancing, and a memorable dinner.
