Thembi Ndaba was born on June 9, 1965 in Drakensberg Farm,KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. She grew up in a humble family and learned the value of hard work and kindness from an early age. At the age of 15, she started working at The Nest hotel, a cozy and welcoming place in the Drakensberg mountains. She has been at the hotel for over 40 years, making her the longest-serving employee there.

Thembi has done various jobs at the hotel, from laundry to gardening to housekeeping. She is always cheerful, diligent, and helpful to the guests and the staff. She has a special bond with the children who visit the hotel, as she has babysat many of them since they were babies. Some of them are now mothers themselves, and they always come back to see Thembi and thank her for her care and affection.

Thembi has also witnessed the changes in the hotel over the years, as she has worked for four different owners. She has adapted to each new management style and has earned the respect and trust of every owner. She has also worked with many managers throughout the years, and they all have good things to say about her. Thembi is not only a dedicated worker, but also a loving mother. She has two children of her own, who are now grown up and have their own careers.
