The Nest Hotel, renowned for our exquisite menu and delectable treats at morning and afternoon tea has some exciting news to share!
We are thrilled to announce that our Pastry Chef, Mandy Mazibuko has been promoted to Sous Chef.
Mandy obtained both her Culinary Arts Diploma and Patisserie Diploma from the International Hotel School and has previously worked in 5 star hotels around Durban, KZN.
The Nest Hotel employed Mandy in July 2019 as a Chef De Partie-Pastry and since then she has been an integral team member delighting guests with her wonderful creations.
Mandy says that she is very passionate about food and creating unique dishes, her favourite being Panna Cotta as she gets to experiment with flavour combinations and decorative plating.
It is humbling to play such an important role in Mandy’s career aspirations to one day run and supervise a kitchen. She says that this promotion is a major stepping stone towards reaching her goal.
